If you are a Christian author, we should be working together.
Your writing is the result of the Holy Spirit’s leading. It would be best if you had an editor who shares your faith perspective and can edit for more than mechanical errors. The ability to have candid conversations about writing rooted in Christian tenets is critical to the integrity of the final product.
You spent countless hours writing, so I will not bother you with every detail, such as misspelled words, punctuation errors, or grammar mistakes, as long as those changes do not change the message. However, I will consult with you before making substantial changes to the organization of your writing. What you have written is sacred work. The integrity of that message must remain intact.
The Chicago Manual of Style and AP Style Guide are my primary resources. I also use the Christian Writer’s Manual of Style to determine the proper use of Christian terminology, abbreviations, capitalization, and punctuation.
Preferred Projects: brochures, presentations, reports, letters, essays, blog posts, podcast scripts, e-books, books, devotionals, articles, news releases, programs, website content, cover letters, and resumes.

“Debra was a pleasure to work with. She was responsive, professional, and knowledgeable. Her approach to editing our book of devotionals worked extremely well in getting this project done in a tight deadline.
Not only did she provide solid feedback to the existing text, her recommendations added to the strength of the document. Highly recommended and I am looking forward to the opportunity to use her again.

“I’m giving Debra the highest rave review, as she deserves! She went beyond what I asked and I benefitted from her knowledge and experience. Her communication is superb. She’s highly skilled.
In spite of the business relationship, I’d consider her a friend due to her encouraging words, kindness, and care. If I get another project that needs her skills, I’m coming back here.”

“Debra was a Godsend to me and my project. Although my job turned out to be much more complicated than when originally assessed for estimating the cost, Debra was willing to stick with her initial bid.
She has gone far beyond expectations and her insight and input have significantly increased the quality of my writing. After two previous freelancers were unable to deliver a workable edit and proofread, Debra jumped in and made it complete.
She is highly competent and professional in her work, and I recommend her highly to anyone needing the skill set she functions in, which, by the way, are many.”
